Company NewsThe manual gearbox has two structures: a 2-axis and a 3-axis. The 2-axis is mostly used for front wheel drive, while the 3-axis is used for front wheel drive.

In a 2-axis manual transmission, one shaft is the power input shaft, which is parallel to the two shafts of the power output. Each forward gear has a pair of gears meshing for power transmission. Compared to a three-axis transmission, the two shafts are obviously more compact and have a simple structure, but the direct transmission efficiency is not as high as the three shafts.
The three-axis transmission consists of an input first shaft, an intermediate shaft, and an output second shaft. The output first shaft and the output second shaft are concentric and parallel to the intermediate shaft. The input first shaft and the intermediate shaft have a set of constant meshing dimensions. Compared to a two axle transmission, a three axle transmission has two sets of gears for each gear transmission, which results in lower transmission efficiency. In direct transmission, the output is not directly transmitted through the intermediate shaft to the output shaft, and a large transmission ratio can still be achieved even with a small gear center distance.

Here is the power flow of a simple two axis transmission:

The above is a simple structure of a manual transmission, and below we will talk about how the shifting of each gear is achieved...
